The Great Image does not compare to the Greater Mountain:
The dream is given to Nebuchadnezzar by God and its interpretation is given to Nebuchadnezzar by God. What was he, the greatest of kings, to learn? That no matter how great his kingdom now appeared, it would be destroyed by the stone not cut by human hands. There is no question from the interpretation that Nebuchadnezzar was the head of gold; there is great question and speculation about the other three kingdoms; there is no question that the stone not cut by human hands that becomes a mountain is greater than the total of the image (all the other kingdoms); so much greater as the God made mountain is to the human made statue. There is no question that this mountain is the kingdom of God and no question that the king of this kingdom is Jesus. Then what are we to learn? Cooperation without compromise: purpose in our hearts to serve the King.
